Son of Jon Narl, he was a soldier in the Tieran Army. He was the personal assistant to Thitas Amer Stilicho and was present during the Fall of Tier. Ordered by Stilicho to escort the princess to Shinarendretta, Boya took her to the docks of Tier where he was persuaded by the princess to follow Stilicho's orders rather than return to a battle that the princess said would only lead to his death.

Boya stayed in Shinarendretta becoming the princess' personal bodyguard. He became an excellent swordsman. He travelled back to Tier to fight during the Return, and after paying his respects to his old captain, returned to his princess' side. They had a child together he named Brahn Boya Stilicho. He was loyal to her until his death.
